I'm Doug Ingram. I teach Humanities at a large English university and I'm passionate about the value of a high quality university education. (See my work website here.) I'm constantly seeking ways to develop my 'teaching and learning' skills, especially in terms of the creative use of digital tools. 'Teaching and learning' should not be driven by technology, but teachers should, I think, be open to ways in which the 'affordances' of digital tools can help us develop our pedagogy in new directions. However, we should also retain the best of what university teaching has long offered.
